How to subscribe to an individual plan
Step 1: Start from your dashboard
- Go to deck.syncmagic.live
- Log in to your account
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
- Select Subscription or Upgrade
Alternatively: If you're on a free trial, you'll see upgrade prompts in your dashboard.
Step 2: Choose your plan
On the subscription page, you'll see plan options:
Select your tier:
- Click Starter for basic features
- Click Pro for full features (recommended)
Select your billing cycle:
- Toggle between Monthly and Annual
- See the price difference and savings
The page shows what's included in each plan. Review features to confirm your choice.
Step 3: Enter payment information
After selecting a plan, you'll be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout:
- Email: Confirm your account email
- Card details: Enter credit or debit card
- Card number
- Expiration date
- CVC code
- Billing address: Enter your address for tax calculation
- Name on card: Enter cardholder name
Accepted payment methods:
- Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- Debit cards
- Some regional payment methods (depending on location)
Security: Sync uses Stripe for payment processing. Your card details are encrypted and never stored on Sync's servers.
Step 4: Review and confirm
Before completing:
Double-check:
- Plan tier (Starter or Pro)
- Billing cycle (Monthly or Annual)

- Billing date
Tax notice: Sales tax or VAT may apply based on your location.
Click Subscribe to complete.
Step 5: Confirmation
After subscribing:
- You'll see a confirmation screen
- An email receipt is sent to your account email
- Your dashboard now shows your active subscription
- All plan features unlock immediately
Free trial handling: If you're still in your free trial, you won't be charged until the trial ends. Your subscription starts when the trial expires.

Viewing subscription details
- Click your profile icon
- Select Subscription
- View:
- Current plan
- Billing cycle
- Next billing date

- Storage usage
Changing your plan
Upgrading (Starter to Pro):
- Go to Subscription
- Click Upgrade to Pro
- Confirm the change
- You'll be charged the prorated difference immediately
- New features unlock right away
Downgrading (Pro to Starter):
- Go to Subscription
- Click Change Plan
- Select Starter
- Confirm the downgrade
- Change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You keep Pro features until then
Changing billing cycle
Monthly to Annual:
- Go to Subscription
- Click Switch to Annual
- You'll be charged the annual rate immediately
- Remaining monthly balance is credited
Annual to Monthly:
- Not available mid-cycle
- Wait until your annual subscription ends
- Switch to monthly at renewal time
Updating payment method
- Go to Subscription
- Click Update Payment Method
- Enter new card details
- Click Save
- Future charges use the new card
Your billing history remains accessible.
Canceling your subscription
- Go to Subscription
- Scroll to Cancel Subscription
- Click Cancel Plan
- Confirm cancellation
What happens after canceling:
- You keep access until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds for unused time (monthly or annual)
- Your decks remain saved
- You downgrade to Free plan features when the period ends
Resubscribing: You can reactivate anytime. Your data and decks are preserved.
Business and Campus subscriptions
Requesting a quote

- Click Submit
A sales rep will contact you within 1-2 business days.
What happens next
Discovery call: Sales team discusses your needs, team size, and use cases.
Custom proposal: You receive a quote with pricing, features, and contract terms.
Onboarding: After signing, your team gets:
- Account setup

Billing: Teams are billed annually via invoice or credit card.

Can I try Pro features before subscribing?
Yes. The 7-day free trial includes full access to Pro features. Test video notes, quizzes, word clouds, and advanced analytics before committing.
Do I need a credit card for the free trial?
No. Start your trial with just an email. Credit card is only required when you subscribe.
What happens if I don't subscribe after my trial?
You automatically downgrade to the Free plan. Your decks are saved, but Pro features (video notes, quizzes, etc.) become unavailable.
Can I change plans after subscribing?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period.
Is there a refund policy?
Subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel, you retain access until the end of your paid period.
Can I switch from monthly to annual billing mid-subscription?
Yes. Switch to annual anytime. You'll be charged the annual rate, and your monthly balance is credited toward it.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and debit cards. Business and Campus plans can pay via invoice.
Can I get an invoice for my subscription?
Yes. Invoices are automatically sent to your email after each billing cycle. Access them in Subscription β Billing History.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your decks and data remain saved. You can still view them on the Free plan. You won't lose content, but advanced features become unavailable.
Can I transfer my subscription to another account?
No. Subscriptions are tied to the account email. Contact support if you need to migrate data to a different account.
Do Business/Campus plans include user limits?
Business plans start at 5 users with no upper limit. Campus plans start at 25 users. Pricing scales based on the number of users.
Can I pause my subscription?
No. You can cancel and resubscribe later, but there's no pause feature.
